It’s got me stumped. I’ve been looking at ciphers from the time that it is set. Gone back through every single cipher from A and B looking for hints and I’ve been at it from every angle that I can think of for a total of about two and a half hours. We got A pretty quickly but I don’t understand how there is logically placed punctuation and how there are massive strings of text that come up multiple times. One of them is EIGHTEEN CHARACTERS LONG! It’s clearly not some basic polyalphabetic but I don’t know any that leaves punctuation in. Is it a trick? Is it double layered? Was the punctuation added afterwards? So many questions!
[EDIT, Harry: I don’t usually post things like this, but your agony is so genuine and moving, I felt it should be shared. Happy Christmas! (and good luck)]
